Bringing together hundreds of teachers/professors deeply involved in the teaching of Introductory Psychology to meet, connect, eat, and work and toward a common goal of grading over 1/4 MILLION AP exams taken this year, here we are in Kansas City, MO.

After rubric development, the extensive training and reliability checks ensure the grading of exams is "spot on," the work environment is extremely focused so that each test is assessed with dilligence and professionalism. Not seen the 2013 Questions? Steve and I were both assigned to Question 2, with focus on research methods. Also in the room was Kristin Whitlock who was instrumental in the development and implementation of the rubric, which will be posted on the College Board website in the next few months. [Note from Steve: THSP's Kent Korek is on Q1.] ETS' primary goal for the reader/graders is that the exams are graded efficiently and effectively. In doing so, there's a lot more that happens in the process.... the social activities!

I'm there as well! I was an acorn last year, and the experience is invaluable. It helped change he way I teach, and I have formed some amazing connections. EVERY AP Psychology teacher should do it at least once.
It was another amazing year! Was so great to see everyone back together again. I've got so many GREAT friends that I only see at the AP Reading. Looking forward to next year...though I'm glad to give my eyes a break in the meantime.
