I've been interested for a while in the psychology of "fake news" - more specifically, how can we help students think more critically about psychological claims they see in the media? Here are a few resources that might be useful - let me know in the comments if you use any of these and/or have other resources to share- Psychology CRAP Test Lesson Plan - I wrote this one for my Psychology club. It went well overall (there's a bit too much in here for one class period so I need to shorten it a bit).

- "Why We Believe Alternative Facts" - APA Monitor
- Project Look Sharp - from the Psychology Dept. at Ithaca College - looks like a great (huge!) resource
- British Psychological Society - "A Lens Onto Fake News" - fantastic, in-depth article about the cognitive principles involved in checking credibility. Great examples of studies. (thanks Simon Knight!)
