NY Times DSM-V Article

The front page the national edition of this morning's (02/20/10) New York Times, includes an article on the upcoming revision of the American Psychiatric Association's Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM). The article, Revising Book on Disorders of the Mind, states DSM-V is slated for publication in 2013 and goes through a number of potential changes.

A Tiny Fruit that Tricks the Tongue - NY Times

The May 28, 2008 edition of the New York Times ran an article describing one of the latest "party fad" in the New York area. People attending these parties are given a West African fruit, Synsepalum dulcificum, that distorts your sense of taste and then allowed to taste a variety of foods. Bill James of Milford High School in Highland, MI has developed an activity using "Miracle Frooties", a tablet version of the fruit, in which students eat a Miracle Frooties tablet and consume various sour items. Milgram Obedience Study Slide Show

The New York Times website includes a brief slide show and basic explanation of Stanley Milgram's famous study on obedience. Pictures of follow-up studies Milgram did after the original groundbreaking study including one shot of the "learner" in the same room as the "teacher" are included.
